Who are we?
~Elven-Club is a deviantART group for artists who share a love or affinity with all things Elvish or so inspired! (so this extends to celtic, wicca, etc too!) Whether you feel a deep spiritual connection to culture, or simply saw LOTR and thought it was cool, our gallery is open to submissions of all kinds of elven art, and our forums to any related topics. We believe the club should provide a scene for artists to freely share their thoughts, ideas, and messages through whatever medium they desire, in an environment where they can be more fully understood and appreciated.

What is elven art?
By our definition, it could be any or all of the following:
- Any category of art that reflects Elven ideals or culture and concepts of Peace, Nature, Tranquility, and Beauty... some examples might include:
- An artists impression of a time/place/scene from Elvish folklore
- A creative writing piece or short story with an elvish theme;
- A poem in Quenya or Sindarin

These are just ideas though; if you think it looks elvish, we probably will think so too!

What's going on in here?
- Contests, features, prizes and competitions
- Classes for speaking and writing Quenya and Sindarin (High elvish and grey-elvish respectively)
- Forums for discussing elven music (or similar earthly music!), tv, movies etc
- A points reward system for submissions, contest wins, involvement etc that will earn towards promotions and prizes (and possibly linked with an rpg... more on this later)
- Weekly features, links, and other info
- Our own dAmn #chatroom

Submitting Art
To submit art to the gallery, send us a NOTE with the details of your submission and a link to the work in your gallery. As a gallery showcasing the best of the Elven community we would ideally like to maintain a level of quality and a focus to the submissions, and we reserve the right not to post it if we believe it's not quite appropriate.
